a powerful show of giving back, popular SABC political analyst Mr Goodenough Mashego has donated a brand-new soccer kit to local football club, Mandela Warriors FC.The donation forms part of Mashego’s commitment to community development through his company, Senakangwedi Community Project, which continues to invest in uplifting young people.

Speaking during the handover, Mashego said he has been closely following the work of team owner Mr Progress Mashego, particularly his dedication to developing young talent in Shatale.“I have been impressed by the commitment shown in grooming these young players.

Supporting them is investing in the future,” he said.Mandela Warriors FC Under-14 captain, Shawn Shubane, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donation.“This kit will boost our confidence. We promise to train hard, win games and make our community proud,” he said.Mashego, who grew up in the same Shatale community, reflected on how opportunities were limited during his childhood.“We did not have sponsorships from corporates or support from the apartheid government.

Today’s youth must use every opportunity they receive to aim high, even to represent Bafana Bafana and stay away from negative influences,” he urged.The new kit not only strengthens team spirit but also symbolises hope, discipline and opportunity for young athletes determined to change their future through sport.Mashego reaffirmed that his organisation will continue supporting initiatives that give young people a platform to shine.
