GAUTENG – Premier Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng MEC for Economic Development Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, City of Tshwane Deputy Mayor Eugene Modise, AIDC Board Chairperson Meloney Van Eck, and the AIDC CEO have officially opened the Gauteng Automotive Learning Centre (GALC).
The centre is dedicated to empowering young school leavers with industry-relevant skills that will prepare them for the jobs of the future.
Through partnerships with Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Tshwane North TVET College, and private sector stakeholders, the centre will offer training in high-demand fields, including automation, robotics, and specialised welding.
The initiative forms part of the Gauteng Government’s commitment to creating employment opportunities, developing critical skills, and building a competitive workforce for the province’s growing automotive industry.
