Born on 29 August 2001 in the beautiful province of Mpumalanga, South Africa, Lindela Nkosi is a young and determined communicator whose journey reflects talent, resilience, and a passion for storytelling. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Lindela has built a path that blends creativity, professionalism, and a desire to make meaningful impact through media.
From the beginning of her academic journey, Lindela showed great interest in the many branches of communication. She studied and developed skills in broadcasting, journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising, corporate communication, and brand communication. These fields gave her a strong understanding of how media shapes society and how messages can influence, educate, and inspire people.
However, Lindela’s true growth came through practical experience, where classroom knowledge was transformed into real-world excellence. At NWUFM 105.5, Lindela stepped confidently behind the microphone as a radio presenter and news reader. In this role, she created engaging radio content, wrote scripts, researched and sourced important stories, and compiled professional news bulletins. Through this experience, she sharpened her communication skills, learned to think quickly under pressure, and discovered how to connect with audiences from different backgrounds.
Her passion for media did not stop with radio. Lindela also explored the world of broadcast production, where she worked as a director, editor, and field reporter for a 30-minute news programme. She played a hands-on role in planning stories, reporting from the field, capturing footage, and editing final productions using Adobe Premiere Rush and Adobe Premiere Pro. This experience showcased her technical ability, creativity, and understanding of modern news production.
In addition to audio and video media, Lindela also proved herself in visual communication and design. She successfully designed a four-page magazine layout and a newspaper layout using Scribus and Adobe InDesign, demonstrating her editorial eye and design precision. She also created a poster and an infographic using Canva, combining creativity with clear and impactful messaging.
Through these diverse experiences, Lindela Nkosi has grown into a well-rounded media professional capable of telling stories across multiple platforms — radio, television, print, and digital media. Driven by passion and purpose, Lindela believes communication is more than words — it is a tool to inform communities, inspire change, and create opportunities.
