SKUKUZA, KRUGER NATIONAL PARK – Women have been urged to create opportunities for one another and take greater control of their financial and personal futures.

The call was made during the KNP Women’s Celebration Event held at the Nombolo Mdhluli Conference Centre, under the theme: “Let’s Fix Ourselves, Pull Her Up, Give to Gain.”

Keynote speaker Masingita Masunga challenged women to actively create space for one another, saying inclusion should not be treated as a favour but as an important step towards achieving equality.

Masunga encouraged women to claim their rightful place at the table while also making sure other women are given opportunities to rise alongside them.

The event also focused on financial empowerment, with Sanlam representatives, including Lebogang Monyatsi, highlighting the importance of financial management and building financial resilience.

Women were encouraged to take control of their finances, manage their wealth responsibly and make decisions that can strengthen their financial futures.

The Master of the High Court also brought the issue of estate planning into focus.

Ms Adivhaho Nevondwe spoke about the Law of Succession and urged women to have valid wills in place to protect their families and ensure their wishes are respected after their death.

She also encouraged attendees to make use of National Wills Week, during which members of the public can have their wills drafted for free.

The event ended with a strong message of sisterhood, empowerment and collective responsibility, with women encouraged to not only improve their own lives but to “pull her up” by creating opportunities for others.
