The RMT All-White Celebration: A Day Picnic for a Cause

Mbombela will soon host the RMT All-White Celebration, a day picnic event dedicated to giving back to the community. The gathering is organized in honor of Phindile Sifunda-Mashabane, fondly known as Phindy The Real Queen.

The primary aim of the event is to raise funds and collect donations of food and clothing for charitable purposes. Beneficiaries will include needy families, the homeless, and individuals battling substance abuse.

Guests are encouraged to bring along non-perishable food items such as Koo beans, rice, and tin fish, as well as gently used clothing in good condition. A collection team will be stationed at the gate to receive all contributions.

The celebration will also showcase an exciting lineup of performers, with 90% of the artists coming from Mpumalanga and the remaining 10% from outside the province. Beyond immediate charitable efforts, proceeds will also support acting training programs set for 2026, aimed at nurturing local talent and providing young people with the opportunity to refine their skills.

Those unable to attend but wishing to support the cause can still drop off donations at the venue’s gate.
