Editor’s Note

As our country moves through an important election year, conversations in our communities are becoming louder and more urgent. People are speaking about service delivery, opportunities for young people, infrastructure, education and the everyday realities that shape their lives.

In this edition of The Youth Voice, we continue doing what we have always done, telling the stories that reflect what is happening on the ground. Some stories highlight challenges. Others celebrate resilience, progress and excellence within our schools and communities.Beyond reporting, we remain committed to creating opportunity.

We are continuing to source and publish job, internship and learnership opportunities for young people, please do not miss the latest listings on page 7. As the year progresses, we will also return to providing educational support content in key high school subjects such as Mathematics, Science and Accounting to assist learners with preparation and revision. We also want this publication to feel like home for young voices across Mpumalanga.

Readers are welcome to send us stories about community builders who deserve recognition. Young professionals and graduates are encouraged to share their journeys to inspire others. Those with vernacular stories and poems are equally invited to contribute, your language, your culture and your creativity matter. The Youth Voice is about harnessing and uplifting the young people of Mpumalanga Province. Your contributions can be sent to the contact details of our staff members published in this paper.

As always, this platform belongs to you. May we continue to rise, support one another and build a future we are proud of together. With so much love and belief in our youth,

Nokulunga Lebambo
